We love joining in on the spirit of SXSW every spring. This year, the Defender is leading us down to Austin to join the fray of music, food, beer and fun with our own Brooklyn Defender Arcade Party at Waller Creek Pub on Sunday, March 13. Enjoy live art from Mike Johnstone, chiptune music from Jeremy Buzek of Ten Pixels Tall, and a full arcade of old-school arcade games that will reignite old rivalries in a flash.
There will also be plenty of beer, with plenty of Defender IPA, Brooklyn Lager and Pilsner to fuel your joystick glory. We’ll also be giving away a boatload of swag, including some limited edition Defender pint glasses. All you have to do is RSVP here and come ready to play.

March 4, 5, 6, 11, 12, 13: The Back Pack Presents. Live music, local theater troupes and plenty of beer at The Back Pack Co-Lab throughout the SXSW weekends. Use it as your central hub.
Friday, March 11: Drink and Click SXSW Olympus Showcase. Grab a beer and test out some of the newest digital photography gear from Olympus at Chicon Collective.
Saturday, March 12: GigTown and Brooklyn Brewery Artist Lounge. Stop in at The Grackle for a heaping helping of music and beer alike.
Brunch of Joggers. Get your fitness on with a guided jog through Austin at 9 AM, followed by brunch at Clark’s Oyster Bar.
Sunday, March 13: Brooklyn Defender Interactive Party. Live music played on Gameboys by Jeremy Buzek, live art by Mike Johnston, vintage video games, and free swag. You knew all that, right? RSVP here.
Thursday, March 17: Yard Dog SXSW. An all-day smorgasbord of sound at Yard Dog Art Gallery.
Friday, March 18: Siren Sound Temple SXSW Showcase. All female-fronted Austin bands, all night at Stay Gold.
Saturday, March 19: Brooklyn Country Cantina. Party all day and all night with a parade of country music, Americana, and beer at Licha’s Cantina.
